China Conducts Military Demonstration Around Taiwan Using Aircraft and Naval Vessels
On the 10th, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense announced that China once again conducted a show of force around Taiwan using military aircraft and naval vessels.
The Ministry of National Defense stated that "from 6 a.m. the previous day to 6 a.m. today, over a 24-hour period, 11 Chinese military aircraft and 4 naval vessels were detected, prompting the deployment of fighter jets, naval vessels, and airborne tracking air defense missile systems for surveillance."
Among the Chinese military aircraft, one Sukhoi-30 fighter crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait, while one Y-8 anti-submarine patrol aircraft and two J-16 fighters entered Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) before turning back.
Following the opening of the National People's Congress (NPC) on the 5th, China sent one Y-8 anti-submarine patrol aircraft and one BZK-005 reconnaissance drone into Taiwan's ADIZ, and on the 6th, dispatched five military aircraft and four naval vessels to the waters surrounding Taiwan to conduct a show of force.
Additionally, from 6 a.m. on the 8th for 24 hours, seven military aircraft and three naval vessels were detected in the Taiwan Strait, prompting Taiwan to respond by deploying fighter jets, naval vessels, and air defense missile systems.

In August of last year, China conducted large-scale military exercises encircling Taiwan in response to then-U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, during which numerous military aircraft entered the median line of the Taiwan Strait and the ADIZ.
