"Out of Simple Curiosity"... Middle School Girl Using Drugs via Telegram
A middle school student suspected of purchasing and using drugs through the internet was apprehended by the police.
On the 7th, the Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul announced that they had booked a third-year middle school student, Ms. A, without detention on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Ms. A is suspected of purchasing methamphetamine through the internet messenger Telegram at around 6:40 p.m. the previous day and then using it on herself. The amount used was 0.05g.
Ms. A confessed to her mother about using the drug, and her mother reported it to the police. The responding officers took Ms. A for voluntary accompaniment for investigation and then allowed her to return home. It is known that Ms. A stated she used the drug out of simple curiosity.
