Chungnam Supports Hydrogen Specialized Companies in 'Technology Development and Commercialization'
Chungnam Province has been selected for the second consecutive year in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's 'Preliminary Hydrogen Specialized Company Development Project.' According to the project selection results, the province will receive 500 million KRW in national funding.
On the 6th, the province stated that this project is implemented with the purpose of helping companies that have technological capabilities or product sales performance in the hydrogen industry sector to be designated as hydrogen specialized companies.
Currently, there are a total of 60 companies nationwide designated as hydrogen specialized companies, of which 6 are companies in the Chungnam region.
Once designated as a specialized company, they can receive administrative and financial support such as technology development, commercialization, demonstration tests, and performance inspections.
This year, the province plans to invest 820 million KRW, including 500 million KRW in national funding and 320 million KRW in provincial funding, to foster hydrogen specialized companies. The maximum support amount per company is 70 million KRW.
