Amid the downfall of lawyer Jeong Sun-shin due to past school violence issues involving his child, a student from Seoul National University, where Jeong's son is reportedly enrolled, sent words of encouragement to A, who suffered school violence at the hands of Jeong's son.
A student at Seoul National University revealed that they too were a victim of school violence and wrote a letter to A and other victims of school violence, saying, "We who have crossed that bridge without succumbing to violence can do anything."

B stated, "These days, many victims are struggling with the reality that perpetrators of school violence live well without proper punishment or reflection," and added, "I am also one of those victims of school violence."
He revealed his experience of school violence during middle school, saying, "I thought about not wanting to live every day due to the torment of the perpetrators, the neglect by peers who stood by, and the mockery of the homeroom teacher who said, 'You are the problem.'" He confessed, "School was hell. The ones who should have been ashamed and hiding were the perpetrators, but I was the only one being pointed at."
He once ran away from school because it was unbearable, but his school record showed an unexcused absence that day. He emphasized, "The perpetrators only received a few scoldings at most," and "One perpetrator even said, 'If that kid had committed suicide, the school would have closed, what a waste.'"

He said, "I want to become an educator who helps students study happily with the right values in an environment free of violence," and "I hope to create classrooms that perpetrators cannot even step into, a sanctuary for victims."
He continued, "I hope victims who are suffering sleeplessly at this very moment find comfort in my words," and encouraged, "Wounds are not shameful, and although the pain may be long, it is not eternal, so do not give up on life."
He added, "You can return to your daily life. Do not be discouraged," and "We who have crossed that bridge without succumbing to violence can do anything. I will always support you."
Seoul National University students who saw this also shared their own experiences of school violence or offered words of encouragement to A and B in the comments. One student said, "As a current student in the College of Education who was also a victim of school violence, I support the victims. I will work tirelessly to create a school free of violence."
