Gumi-si Sandong Village Chiefs Association Donates Scholarship to Sandong High School
A Total Donation of 40 Million KRW Over Four Years Since 2020
The Sangdong-eup Village Chiefs Association in Gumi City awarded scholarships totaling 10 million KRW, giving 500,000 KRW each to 20 outstanding new students at Gumi Sangdong High School at 11 a.m. on the 2nd.
This scholarship fund was sourced from the resident support fund for the impact area around the Gumi Environmental Resource Recycling Facility, used for the development of local schools and nurturing talent. To date, the Village Chiefs Association has awarded a total of 40 million KRW in scholarships to outstanding new students.
Hwang Jun-won, Chairman of the Village Chiefs Association, said, “We take great joy in awarding scholarships to excellent students for the development of Sangdong High School and Sangdong-eup, and we plan to continue donating scholarships.”
