The United Nations Statistical Commission is a forum where heads of national and international statistical agencies gather to discuss and decide on statistical standards and methodologies necessary for policy implementation. Commissioner Han is attending the 54th session held at the UN Headquarters in New York, USA, from the 28th of last month to the 3rd of this month as Korea's chief representative. The Vice-Chair term is up to two years, during which he will participate in key activities of the chairmanship.
