Resolution of New President Park Dong-young at HUG Shareholders' Meeting
The Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) held a shareholders' meeting and appointed former Daewoo Securities Vice President Park Dong-young as the new president.
According to HUG on the 27th, among the five candidates for president at the shareholders' meeting held at 11 a.m. that day, former Vice President Park was confirmed as the final candidate.
Accordingly, when Won Hee-ryong, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the relevant ministry, recommends the appointment to President Yoon Seok-yeol, President Yoon will appoint former Vice President Park as the new president of HUG.
Former Vice President Park worked at securities firms such as Ssangyong Investment & Securities, Salomon Brothers, and Merrill Lynch. In 2016, he established Pinewood Private Equity, a private equity fund (PEF) management company, and served as its CEO.
Prior to being confirmed as the final candidate for president, it was revealed that former Vice President Park met with HUG executives and received business reports, which caused controversy.

Former Vice President Park is known to be the son of Park Il-gyeong, who served as Minister of Education during the era of former President Park Chung-hee (1962?1963).
