Gokseong-gun Successfully Concludes 'Gokseong Heart-Throbbing Trip' Combining Humanities and Tourism

A Sensory Journey You Want to Visit and Hear Again

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that it conducted the ‘Gokseong Heart-Throbbing Travel Fam Tour’ twice on the 18th and 26th.

The previous fam tours were fully funded by the county and targeted influencers, teachers, and others to visit tourist sites within the county.

However, this time, the Gokseong Heart-Throbbing Travel selected not only tourist sites but also humanities-related places and was conducted for the general public with a set fee.

The majority of participants were families, many accompanied by elementary school children.

In the morning, accompanied by explanations from the Gokseong Cultural Center, participants visited historical sites in the region (Cheonggye-dong Imran Volunteer Army Training Ground, Jeonghae Persecution Origin Site, Samin-dong Korean War Battle Site).

They also enjoyed a warm atmosphere with questions about history, light quizzes, and prize giveaways.

In the afternoon, the schedule was arranged around experiential activities (Gokseong Seomjingang Astronomical Observatory, Train Village Rail Bike, chocolate making), providing a course to cheer up the somewhat heavy mood from the morning.

After the tour, a survey was conducted to analyze satisfaction. As a result, participants were generally satisfied with the course combining humanities and tourism, but there were many regrets about the somewhat insufficient explanations due to the short schedule and a desire for a more leisurely tour.

Additionally, the Gokseong specialty food provided for lunch received many positive reviews for taste. However, there were also requests for improvement in consistent food service, as the seasoning varied slightly at each table.

A Gokseong-gun official said, “We plan to carefully analyze the results of this Heart-Throbbing Tour and decide on the sale of travel products in early March. Since the response was especially good among families, we intend to consider scenario writing for historical humanities, adjusting time allocation, and distributing free time at Train Village.”
