Umberto Eco's 'The Name of the Rose', Willa Audio Book Released
Willa Audiobook, an audiobook service provider, has released Umberto Eco's intellectual detective novel The Name of the Rose as an audiobook for the first time.
The Name of the Rose is set in the medieval era and tells the story of William, an English monk, investigating a murder that occurred in an Italian monastery. The novel incorporates Aristotle's logic, Thomas Aquinas's theology, Francis Bacon's empiricism, and Eco's own extensive anthropological knowledge, sweeping prestigious international literary awards such as the Strega Prize and the Medici Prize.
Starting with the release of The Name of the Rose (Part 1) on the 27th, The Name of the Rose (Part 2) will be released on the 6th of next month. Popular Korean voice actors including Kwon Seong-hyeok, Nam Do-hyeong, Lee Jae-beom, Min Seung-woo, and Lee Jeong-min participated in the narration.
