Wando-gun, Continued Hometown Love Donations from Hometown Supporters
Donation Delivery from Various Sectors, Supporting Wando's Development
[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do, is receiving support for its development as people from various sectors participate in the Hometown Love Donation Program.

According to the county on the 20th, starting with Kim Wi-woong, president of the Seoul-Gyeonggi Hometown Association (native of Nohwa-eup), the members of the hometown association are taking the lead in donating funds and promoting the Hometown Love Donation Program.
On the 8th, the close brotherly relationship between Woo Hong-seop, deputy governor of Jindo-gun, and Woo Hong-chang, administrative support team leader of Wando-gun, drew attention as they each donated 1 million won to support the development of both regions.
Especially on the 17th, nine officials from the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF), including Shin Young-soo, executive director of the Seoul NACF Hometown Association (native of Geumil-eup), and Yang Jae-young, manager (native of Yaksan-myeon), visited Wando-gun in person to donate to the Hometown Love Donation Fund.
Additionally, about 20 members from Wando affiliated with the NACF and Nonghyup Bank also participated in the Hometown Love Donation Program. Shin Young-soo, executive director of the NACF Rural Support Headquarters, said, “Although we are far away, we always think of and support our hometown, and we hope this sentiment is conveyed through the hometown love donations.”
Furthermore, public officials from the sister and friendly cities of Gimje and Miryang, led by the mayors of Gimje and Miryang, are also participating in donations. In particular, in Miryang, more than 60 people have donated a total of over 6 million won so far.
Meanwhile, the Wando-gun Hometown Love Donation T/F team, in connection with the Tourism Division’s ‘Tourism Photo Exhibition,’ distributed promotional leaflets and items for the Hometown Love Donation Program at Yongsan Station over two days on the 9th and 10th, and is actively promoting the program through SNS and other channels.
The Hometown Love Donation Fund can be donated through the ‘Hometown Love e-um’ website and visits to Nonghyup, and the donations will be used to improve residents’ welfare and solve local issues.
