US ESPN LIV Golf Transfer Report
Danny Lee (New Zealand) is expected to transfer to LIV Golf, which is sponsored by Saudi Arabian capital.
On the 19th (local time), the American ESPN reported, "Danny Lee, Thomas Pieters (Belgium), and Brendan Steele (USA) will join LIV Golf." LIV Golf will announce additional player signings ahead of the 2023 season opener to be held in Mexico on the 24th.
Danny Lee is a Korean New Zealander. He also has a Korean name, Lee Jin-myung. As an amateur in 2009, he won the DP World Tour (formerly European Tour) Johnnie Walker Classic and reached the number one spot in the amateur world rankings. On the PGA Tour, he secured one victory at the 2015 Greenbrier Classic. He has earned a total of $15,363,106 (approximately 19.97 billion KRW) in prize money on the PGA Tour.
If Danny Lee joins LIV Golf, he will become the third Korean New Zealander player. Currently, Kevin Na and Kim Si-hwan (both USA) are playing in LIV Golf. Danny Lee also participated in this week's PGA Tour Genesis Invitational (total prize money $20 million) held in Pacific Palisades, California, USA, but was cut off.
