[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) has produced and distributed a cultural heritage guidebook titled 'Gwanak-gu Treasure Hunt: Cultural Heritage Edition' to widely promote the district’s cultural heritage and make it easily accessible to everyone.
The district classified cultural properties preserved and managed by institutions such as Horim Museum, Seoul National University Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies, and Seoul National University Museum according to their locations, and organized them with photos and easy-to-understand explanations for quick recognition.
The guidebook contains a total of 132 items, including 17 national treasures, 89 treasures, 2 historic sites, and 1 natural monument designated by the national government, as well as nationally registered cultural properties and cultural properties designated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Additionally, the appendix provides major landmarks reflecting the district’s culture and arts, such as Nakseongdae Park, Gang Gam-chan Exhibition Hall, Park Jong-cheol Street, Gwancheon-ro Cultural Platform S1472, and Gwanak Art Hall.
Designed as a portable booklet for convenient carrying and use, it is distributed to community service centers in each neighborhood, major tourist spots, and cultural facilities, and can also be accessed as an E-book on the Gwanak-gu Office website.
