KCCI Provides $100,000 Support to Turkey for Earthquake Relief

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyun] The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry provided $100,000 in relief funds to help T?rkiye, which is experiencing a national disaster due to a strong earthquake.
Woo Tae-hee, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, visited the Embassy of T?rkiye in Jung-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 17th to mourn and pay condolences to the earthquake victims. On this occasion, he met with Ambassador Salih Murat Tamer, expressed his condolences, and delivered $100,000 in relief funds.
In the embassy condolence book, Vice Chairman Woo wrote, “We extend our deepest condolences to our brother country T?rkiye for the disaster, and the Korean business community will sincerely support T?rkiye’s recovery from the damage.”
Vice Chairman Woo said, “I had discussed economic cooperation measures between the two countries with Ambassador Tamer, who was newly appointed in early February, but I am saddened to meet him again under such an unexpected tragic circumstance. I hope the earthquake damage in T?rkiye is quickly restored and the wounds of the people are healed as soon as possible.”
