View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Handhug, the operator of the creator commerce platform 'Jellycrew,' is expanding into Japan.
On the 17th, Handhug announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with the Japanese distributor 'CandiaGoGo' to enter the Japanese market.
CandiaGoGo operates 15 directly managed stores, including its flagship store in Harajuku under its own brand, CandiaGoGo. It has affiliated stores in partnership with various companies such as major department stores, clothing brands, and drugstore brands in Japan. It has collaborated with the idol group BLACKPINK and launched BTS character (TINYTAN) IP products.
This agreement was made to enhance the brand value of both companies, engage in strategic marketing collaboration, and plan mid- to long-term IP cooperation for continuous partnership.
Handhug provides the rights to commercialize Jellycrew's 'Ungkeun Seoninjang' brand content. CandiaGoGo will produce and develop products using the Ungkeun Seoninjang IP and carry out online and offline distribution businesses through affiliated partners.
Starting next month, various products such as stationery, fancy goods, toys, clothing, and accessories utilizing Ungkeun Seoninjang content will be sold.

Park Jun-hong, CEO of Handhug, said, "This agreement is significant as it lays the groundwork for creators' future entry into the Japanese market," adding, "We will contribute to the expansion of Korean creator IPs in Japan and the market."
