The Health Managers Conference aims to build an advanced health management system by sharing each company's health management systems and excellent management cases among health managers from Gwangyang Steelworks, POSCO group companies, and partner companies.
This meeting was notable for resuming the conference format after being suspended since 2019 due to COVID-19, featuring thematic presentations by nurses from the Gwangyang Steelworks Health Promotion Center and special lectures by medical experts.
In particular, rather than a passive conference with simple presentations, practical discussions were held to build an advanced health management system by sharing health management techniques, patient follow-up care methods, and health policies from each group company and partner company, giving the event deeper significance.
Park Eun-hyang, Manager of Gwangyang Steelworks Health Promotion Center, presented cases of excellent medical and institutional measures provided to employees under the theme of “Follow-up Management of Persons with Disease Findings,” and participants enriched the content by sharing their prepared cases.
Dr. Chae Hong-jae, Health Examination Officer at Gwangyang Steelworks Health Promotion Center, presented the diagnosis and treatment processes for adult diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, suggesting directions for employee health management in modern society where the prevalence of adult diseases is increasing.
