[Photo] Han Kyung-rok at the 'Gyeongnokjeol' Commemorative Exhibition
On February 11, 2005, Han Kyung-rok, the bassist and leader of 'Crying Nut,' paid for the drinks of the many people gathered at his birthday party, which led to the annual event called 'Kyungrok Day' held around Hongdae featuring music performances and parties. This year, after three years, Han Kyung-rok will perform live in front of the audience and hold a party, with Mapo District Office participating to host a cultural and artistic festival called 'Mapo Renaissance.' The 'Rock and Roll Renaissance' exhibition showcasing musicians' paintings will also be held at Mapo Art Hall. Han Kyung-rok, whom we met at the exhibition, is explaining a painting by Crying Nut guitarist Lee Sang-myeon. The painting visible in the background is a self-portrait of singer Kim Chang-wan.
