CU announced on the 9th that it will significantly expand medical welfare services for the health of its franchise owners.
Since 2018, CU has been operating the "Health Life Keeper" program, which offers discounts on medical services. This program initially covered five medical specialties: comprehensive health checkups, dentistry, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, and pain medicine. It has expanded its scope every year and has increased to 14 specialties this year.
The newly added specialties include internal medicine, dermatology, urology, general treatment for spinal and joint conditions, as well as hair transplantation, plastic surgery, diet, and beauty fields such as eyebrow tattooing. Treatments at Korean medicine clinics and psychological counseling for children, adolescents, and couples are also available.
The program is available to franchise owners, their immediate family members, and staff. It has partnerships with about 240 affiliated hospitals evenly distributed across major cities nationwide, including Seoul and the metropolitan area, Gyeongsang Province, Jeolla Province, Chungcheong Province, and Jeju. Discount rates vary from 10% to 50% off the regular price depending on the specific service, such as general consultations, tests, procedures, and surgeries, and the discount benefits are regularly updated.
