Kim Sung-tae's Overseas Escape Aided by 'Personal Secretary' Repatriated to Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Kyung-jun] Park, the personal secretary who helped former Ssangbangwool Group Chairman Kim Seong-tae flee overseas after being indicted on charges including illegal remittance to North Korea and bribery, was repatriated to South Korea on the 7th.
Park arrived at Incheon International Airport around 7:30 a.m. and will be transferred to the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office.

Park lived in hiding with former Chairman Kim in Thailand. On the 10th of last month, when Kim was arrested at a golf course in Pathum Thani, Thailand, along with Yang Seon-gil, Chairman of Ssangbangwool, Park was elsewhere and fled. Afterwards, Park attempted to escape to Cambodia but was caught by local Cambodian police near the border.
It is reported that Park was carrying several mobile phones and bundles of documents used by former Chairman Kim. The prosecution reportedly secured the items Park possessed at the time through the Cambodian police.
