Jeongeup-si to Conduct 'National Business Survey' Starting from the 9th
[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk Province announced on the 1st that it will conduct the "National Business Survey" from the 9th of this month to the 6th of next month.
Now in its 30th year, the National Business Survey is conducted nationwide to understand the structure of businesses in South Korea and has been conducted annually since 1994.
This survey is a complete census necessary to grasp the regional distribution and employment structure of all businesses in Jeongeup City, and it serves as basic data for the formulation of various economic policies by the national government and Jeongeup City.
The survey targets all businesses engaged in industrial activities within the region as of the survey reference date ('22.12.31.) or the survey date, totaling approximately 17,147 establishments.
The main survey items include workplace location, type of business, number of employees, and a total of 10 items.
This survey will be conducted through face-to-face interviews, but depending on circumstances such as COVID-19 vulnerable facilities, it may also be conducted via telephone surveys, internet surveys, or distributed surveys.
The collected data will be reviewed and compiled by industry, employee size, organizational form, and by eup, myeon, and dong (administrative divisions), including the number of businesses and employees.
The survey results will be provisionally announced by the Statistics Korea in September and will be disclosed on Jeongeup City's website in December to ensure citizens' right to know.
A city official stated, "All surveyed information will be used solely for statistical purposes and is strictly protected by the Statistics Act. We ask for active participation and responses from businesses to ensure accurate statistics."
For more details, inquiries can be made to the Jeongeup City Statistical Survey Comprehensive Situation Room or the Statistics Korea call center.
