Korean Tea Culture Association, New Year's Tea Ceremony and Commendation Awards for Meritorious Members

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 30th that the 2022 Meritorious Member Commendation Ceremony and the 2023 New Year's Tea Ceremony, hosted by the Korea Tea Culture Federation, were held at the Masan Cultural Center Auditorium.

The Korea Tea Culture Federation is an organization based in Gyeongsangnam-do, aiming to inherit and develop our traditional tea culture and contribute to its globalization.

The New Year's Tea Ceremony was held at the Masan Cultural Center Auditorium, hosted by the Korea Tea Culture Association.

At the New Year's Tea Ceremony held on the 27th, the commendation ceremony awarded the following: ▲Changwon Mayor's Commendation / Kim Bo-min, Jo Mi-kyung ▲Gyeongsangnam-do Governor's Commendation / Song Cheon-su ▲Jinju Mayor's Commendation / Lee Eun-jung ▲Chairman of the National Assembly Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee's Commendation / Jeon Jae-yong, Park Young-i ▲Rural Development Administration Director's Commendation / Lee Kang-nyeo, Seo Ju-hee ▲Ministry of Food and Drug Safety Director's Commendation / Chu Min-ah, Kim Eun-hee ▲10 Years of Service Plaque / Kim Bong-ae, Choi Jeong-im.

The Korea Tea Culture Federation holds the Korea Tea Festival annually, and in 2023, in line with the Hadong World Tea Expo, plans to hold the 24th Korea Tea Festival and the World Tea Academic Symposium in May.

Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, said, “The Korea Tea Culture Federation is making efforts to develop tea culture content while playing a significant role in fostering international friendship through tea culture,” and added, “I hope that through the activities of the Korea Tea Culture Federation, our city will continue to be reborn as a city filled with the fragrance of tea.”
