Nakyungwon's Side "Not Running for Party Convention"... Announcement at 11 AM
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Former lawmaker Na Kyung-won has decided not to run in the March 8 People Power Party leadership election.
A representative from Na's side said in a phone call on the 25th, "We have heard that she has stated she will not run."
This announcement comes just two weeks after Na resigned from her position as vice-chair of the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee due to conflicts with the Presidential Office.
Na, who had refrained from public appearances, reportedly met with senior figures including former party leader Lee Hoi-chang, who introduced her to politics, to seek advice on her future political path.
