Earlier, Mr. A was brought to trial on charges of assault after allegedly attacking his girlfriend around 2:30 a.m. on June 5 last year in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, during an argument over their drinking situation while in a car. He caused injuries including a nasal bone fracture and concussion that required about 30 days of treatment. It was investigated that during the assault, Mr. A repeatedly struck her face, grabbed her hair to pull her out of the car, and then hit her entire body with fists and feet.
