Dongwon Systems Obtains International Eco-Friendly Packaging Certification Standard 'GRS'
Dongwon Systems announced on the 17th that its industrial consumable packaging materials have obtained the international recycled standard certification 'GRS (Global Recycled Standard·GRS)' from Control Union, a global eco-friendly certification organization.
The GRS certification is an international standard granted to products containing more than 20% recycled materials. In addition to the recycled material content, companies must meet social, environmental, and chemical criteria such as air and waste emissions and chemical substance management. If more than 50% of recycled materials are used, the final product can display the GRS certification mark.
The industrial consumable packaging materials produced by Dongwon Systems contain 59% of 'PIR (Post Industrial Recycled)', which is waste leftover from the production process, and 'PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled)', which is plastic waste discarded by consumers after use. In particular, the safety of chemicals used in inks and adhesives also meets the GRS certification standards, establishing an eco-friendly system throughout the entire production process.
