Until last year, the county selected 92 villages and successfully carried out distinctive projects for each village, such as creating flower paths, painting murals, and environmental cleanup activities.
As a result, three excellent best villages were selected, and the project won the Excellence Award in the 2022 comprehensive evaluation, securing a prize fund of 30 million KRW.
Starting this year, as Jeonnam Province significantly expands the Clean Jeonnam Best Village project, the county plans to select an additional 45 villages, aiming for a total of 137 villages, and increase the project funding from 3 million KRW to 5 million KRW per village.
Villages wishing to participate in the project can apply at their town or township office by the 20th with the relevant documents.
A county official stated, "This year, we will actively support 137 villages to participate in diverse and distinctive village beautification specialized projects so that they can spread as best villages where anyone wants to live."
