Pulmuone, Industry's First 'Digital Cluster Smart Factory' Established
Pulmuone announced on the 16th that it has established a data-driven digital cluster smart factory at its own factories and partner companies.
A digital cluster is a business model that optimizes factory operations through interconnection among multiple factories based on data and networks. A smart factory is a future-oriented factory that applies information and communication technology to the production process.
Pulmuone has built a food digital cluster smart factory at 8 of its own factories and 6 partner companies. By utilizing Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things) and big data, it enables data sharing and integrated management in manufacturing, production, and quality sectors.
Pulmuone plans to establish smart factories at 9 overseas Pulmuone factories in the United States, China, Japan, and other countries within this year. The number of smart factories built at partner companies will expand from the current 6 to 10 this year.
