[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The police investigating allegations of construction company corporate card misuse by Lim Jongseong, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, are conducting a search and seizure of Lim's National Assembly office and residence on the 13th.
The Serious Crime Investigation Division of the National Police Agency has been searching five locations since the morning, including Lim's office in the National Assembly Members' Office Building, his constituency office, and his residence in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.

The police have uncovered specific evidence that Lim received tens of millions of won in cash and corporate cards from Mr. A, an executive of a construction company active in Lim's constituency of Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, and used them over several months starting from November 2020, prompting a forced investigation.
