Paris Baguette Launches 'Uri Ssal Seol Gift Set' Using Domestic Rice
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Paris Baguette announced on the 11th that it will launch the ‘Woori Rice Seol Gift Set’.
The new product uses Garu Rice, a new variety developed after extensive research by the Rural Development Administration and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, as part of SPC Group’s ‘Happy Win-Win Project’ to support the future growth of agriculture by releasing products made with domestic agricultural products. Garu Rice can be ground directly into powder like wheat, and it is expected to open new markets for Korean rice.
The varieties include ▲ ‘Woori Rice Yuzu Roll Cake,’ a soft cake made from finely ground domestic rice combined with the sweet scent and taste of Goheung yuzu ▲ ‘Woori Rice Nut Pound Cake,’ made with finely ground domestic rice and the rich flavor of nuts full of the earth’s bounty ▲ ‘Crispy Woori Rice Monaka,’ a crispy monaka with a savory crust made from Woori rice and glutinous rice filled with three flavors of yokan: red bean, chestnut, and yuzu ▲ and ‘Tteok Hani Happy Glutinous Rice Moon Cake,’ a Manwol bread filled with healthy walnut red bean paste and whole rice and glutinous rice tteok.

A Paris Baguette official said, “We plan to continuously develop products using Garu Rice to open new markets for domestic rice,” adding, “This year as well, through the Happy Win-Win Project, we will carry out various activities that help the future growth of agriculture and enable the company to grow together.”
