Officials from Busan City and participating companies are taking a commemorative photo at the CES 2023 Busan Business Communication Night event.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City announced that from January 5 to 8, 16 Busan companies participated in ‘CES 2023’ (International Consumer Electronics Show, hereafter CES), the most influential exhibition in the information technology (IT) field held in Las Vegas, USA, and two companies won innovation awards, achieving a remarkable success.
The Busan companies participating this time introduced their innovations to the world at three exhibition halls (6 companies in Eureka Park, 6 companies in Country Pavilion, and 4 companies in Design & Source Pavilion) with support from related organizations including Busan City, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Busan Technopark, KOTRA, and Korea Water Resources Corporation.
The participating companies are ▲Centpro (smart air freshener device) ▲Inwise (video editing controller) ▲AT Solution (IoT wireless educational smart blocks) ▲Epin (metaverse combat training simulator) ▲She’s M (AI smart bidet) ▲K-Watercraft (water station) ▲Seodong Medical (ocular dry eye treatment medical device) ▲CA Lab (Aero One) ▲Sharpen Goat (Tritona M2) ▲QT (Iapo Mobile) ▲Medical Innovation Developer (AI-based upper abdominal ultrasound automatic reader) ▲Koi (KOBOT V2.0) ▲O2 Lab (dynamic balance) ▲Ewon OMS (AI home training smart mirror) ▲Redesign (ICT convergence standing gait training device) ▲Songgang Networks (biological signal detection radar), totaling 16 companies.
In particular, the innovation awards, which are specially given by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the organizer of CES, only to companies recognized for innovative products and new technologies, were awarded to two companies, ‘Sharpen Goat’ and ‘K-Watercraft,’ showcasing the innovative technology of Busan companies on the global stage.
At this exhibition, not only companies but also Busan City formed a delegation led by Shin Chang-ho, Director of the Future Industry Bureau, to directly participate in the local exhibition to support Busan companies and grasp global advanced industry trends.
The Busan City delegation held the ‘CES 2023 Busan Business Communication Night’ event, visited Busan company booths, and discussed strategies to advance the future technology industrial ecosystem of Busan through communication and cooperation with participating Busan companies.
They also visited exhibition halls of global major companies such as Samsung, LG, Sony, John Deere, and companies with innovative technologies in fields such as smart cities, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), mobility, and healthcare to understand future new technology trends and seek industrial development strategies.
During the exhibition period, in cooperation with KOTRA, the operating organization of the integrated Korea Pavilion, they actively promoted the 2030 Busan World Expo by screening promotional videos on large panels, inserting the expo logo in the integrated Korea Pavilion, and distributing expo leaflets and souvenirs.

At the sharing meeting, experts will be invited to give lectures analyzing industrial trends presented through CES for citizens and businesspeople, and participating companies will share their achievements and experiences.
