The Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office deployed investigators to conduct search and seizure operations at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, Yongsan Police Station, and Yongsan District Office on the morning of the same day. This is the first time the prosecution has directly carried out search and seizure related to the Itaewon disaster.

It is known that the prosecution is securing evidence to support charges of professional negligence resulting in death or injury applied to former Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Public Safety Information Foreign Affairs Division Chief Park Seongmin, former Yongsan Police Station Chief Lee Imjae, and Yongsan District Mayor Park Heeyoung, who were previously sent for detention by the Police Agency's Special Investigation Headquarters (Special Investigation Unit) investigating the Itaewon disaster.
