SK announced on the 8th that the cumulative number of visitors to the group's integrated exhibition hall during 'CES 2023,' held for four days from the 5th at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) in the United States, was tentatively estimated at around 30,000. This is nearly three times the 11,000 visitors who visited the SK exhibition hall during 'CES 2022' in January last year.
Following about 7,500 visitors on the opening day, the 6th saw a jump to about 9,500 visitors. Even on the 7th and 8th, when CES attendance began to decline, about 13,000 visitors came to the SK booth over the two days. In fact, long lines of visitors formed every day in front of the SK booth, waiting to enter as soon as the exhibition hall opened at 9 a.m.
An SK official said, "It is unusual for so many visitors to flock to a B2B company exhibition hall focused on parts and materials such as batteries, rather than consumer goods like home appliances or passenger cars," adding, "It seems that word of mouth spread effectively by delivering the somewhat heavy message of 'carbon reduction' through various attractions and tasting experiences that engage the five senses."
At 'CES 2022' last year, SK Group announced its goal to reduce 1% (200 million tons) of the global carbon reduction target by 2030 and themed its exhibition hall 'Together.' This time, the theme was 'Together in Action: Moving Further Together Toward a Carbon-Free Future.'
SK introduced the carbon reduction value chain (supply chain) and related technologies built by global partner companies already engaged in 'Together,' conveying a message encouraging more companies and people worldwide to participate in 'net zero practice.'

On the 6th, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, who visited the SK Group pavilion, praised the exhibition message and composition, saying, "It is meaningful and gratifying to present the always-considered topic of carbon reduction well."
Meanwhile, during CES, SK installed a large advertisement promoting the Busan Expo in the central lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and used exhibits such as UAM to raise awareness of the 'Busan Expo,' actively serving as an 'Expo ambassador.'
An SK Group official said, "At this CES, other domestic and international companies besides SK also began to talk about 'carbon reduction,' making net zero a global central issue," adding, "We will continue to strengthen eco-friendly technologies and related ecosystems with global partners to address the climate crisis and establish ourselves as a leading company in carbon reduction."
