Fresh Naming Contest Reflecting the Symbolism of Youth Spaces... In-Person and Online Submissions Accepted Until the 13th
For the final selected name(s), the grand prize (1 person) will receive a 100,000 KRW cultural gift certificate, and excellence prizes (4 persons) will each receive 50,000 KRW cultural gift certificates
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) is holding a naming contest until the 13th to assign a name embodying the symbolism of youth spaces to the ‘Youth Startup and Community Space (tentative name)’ scheduled to open in Hwikyung-dong in the first half of 2023.
The ‘Youth Startup and Community Space,’ opening on the 3rd floor of the youth housing complex at 281-1 Hwikyung-dong, will serve as a space for youth to plan their futures. It will be established to ▲create infrastructure for nurturing youth entrepreneurs and providing tailored support ▲build a networking hub to support youth community activities and information sharing.
This contest reflects the role and symbolism of the community space that will support youth startups and various activities, aiming to find a fresh name that anyone can relate to.
Anyone residing in Dongdaemun-gu, or whose workplace (business) or school is located in Dongdaemun-gu, is eligible to participate. Submissions can be made online through the ‘Citizen Participation’ section on the Dongdaemun-gu website or by visiting the Youth Employment Division on the 6th floor of Dongdaemun-gu Office in person until the 13th.
For the final selected name(s), the grand prize (1 person) will receive a 100,000 KRW cultural gift certificate, and excellence prizes (4 persons) will each receive 50,000 KRW cultural gift certificates. Each person may submit only once, and if identical names are submitted simultaneously, only the earliest submission based on arrival time will be accepted.
