A man in his 40s from China, who tested positive for COVID-19 at Incheon Airport's arrival hall and fled after refusing quarantine, has drawn attention for the clothes he was wearing when apprehended.
The Chinese national, Mr. A, was caught by police hiding in a hotel in Seoul around 12:55 PM on the 5th.
When Mr. A was taken into custody, he was wearing a white padded jumper and had his hat pulled down low over his head.
On the back of the padded jumper was the phrase "MADE IN CHINA 無敵 (MADE IN CHINA Invincible)".
Details such as which manufacturer made the clothing or why he was wearing that particular outfit have not been disclosed.
A man in his 40s from China, identified as Mr. A, who refused hotel quarantine and fled after testing positive for COVID-19, was apprehended in Seoul on the 5th and is being escorted to a hotel in Jung-gu, Incheon.
Meanwhile, news of Mr. A's escape was also reported by Chinese state-run media. On Weibo, China's social networking service (SNS), criticism toward Mr. A has been ongoing.
One Weibo user commented, "Why run away so shamefully? Wouldn't it have been better to just stay calm from the start?" Another user said, "To become a wanted person by fleeing abroad? Act sensibly. I don't understand why he ran away at all."

However, some Chinese netizens criticized the South Korean government's quarantine policies and instead defended Mr. A. One user explained South Korea's quarantine policy and asked, "Why discriminate against Chinese people?"
