'studio KUM' is designed as a black box theater that allows for various transformations, enabling creators to realize their infinite imagination more realistically and allowing for diverse directing styles.
As a result, current students can spend a lot of time practicing and rehearsing here from auditions to performances to adapt to the space, thereby enhancing the focus of their works.
'studio KUM' is designed to break away from the conventional proscenium (picture frame) stage and create a stage that can change flexibly according to era, genre, and format.

A Kyungbok University official stated, "With the opening of 'studio KUM,' the Department of Performing Arts now has both a dedicated musical theater and a dedicated play theater," adding, "Students can directly handle all stage production, lighting design, sound design, and costume production for every performance through club activities by field, allowing them to freely perform plays and musicals without paying additional performance fees."
