Jongam-dong Saemaeul Geumgo and Gireum 2-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee Donate Funds and Goods to Help Low-Income Neighbors Get Through Winter

The Gireum 2-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee (Chairman Bae Seong-pil), which operates various resident autonomy programs and donation activities for the community, donated 1 million won to the district on the 26th to help vulnerable groups have a warm winter.
The Gireum 2-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee stated, "Hearing that the marginalized residents in our area are having difficulties due to the unusually cold weather and economic downturn, we decided to donate with the hope that they can spend a warm winter."
Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, said, "I am very grateful to the autonomy committee, who always works hard for the community, for making this donation. We will strive to carefully take care so that no one in the community is left out."

On the 27th, at the Jongam-dong Saemaeul Geumgo headquarters (Director Lee Yun-nam) located in Jongam-dong (District Head Lee Gi-won), a 'Love Jomdori Movement' delivery ceremony was held to help neighbors in need have a warm winter ahead of the new year.
Jongam-dong Saemaeul Geumgo actively participates in the Love Jomdori Movement every year. Following last year's donation of 1,000 kg of rice, this year they delivered another 1,000 kg of rice and 30 boxes of ramen. The Jongam-dong Saemaeul Geumgo Mountaineering Club (Chairman Kwon Hyung-sik) and Tuesday Singing Class (Chairman Lee Sang-gap) also donated 500,000 won, asking that the funds be used well for neighbors in need.
At the delivery ceremony, Mayor Lee Seung-ro presented a certificate of appreciation to the Geumgo and expressed his gratitude. "Thanks to all of you who generously help neighbors in need every year, our community is becoming warmer. I am very grateful that you do not forget and participate in donations despite difficulties. We will ensure that the donated funds and goods are used appropriately."
