[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] The Guro Police Station in Seoul announced on the 22nd that they have arrested and are investigating a 38-year-old Chinese national, Mr. A, on charges of assault resulting in death for fatally beating a debtor with his fists over unpaid money.
Mr. A is accused of repeatedly punching Mr. B, a 51-year-old compatriot of the same nationality, during an argument over a debt inside a coffee shop located in Garibong-dong, Guro-gu, at around 12:38 a.m. on the same day, which led to Mr. B's death.

The police, who responded to the report, arrested Mr. A at the scene and are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident. A police official stated, "The amount Mr. B borrowed was about 500,000 won," and added, "We plan to apply for an arrest warrant this afternoon."
