[Exclusive] 60-Year-Old Man Arrested on the Spot for Injuring Woman's Face at Bus Stop
Man in His 60s Charged with Attempted Murder
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] A man who injured a woman's face at a bus stop in Seoul was arrested by the police.
On the 20th, the Gangdong Police Station in Seoul announced that they have arrested a man in his 60s, Mr. A, on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently investigating.
Mr. A is accused of slashing the face of a woman in her 50s, Ms. B, three times with a weapon at a bus stop located in Seongnae-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, around 4:50 p.m. the previous day, because she refused to meet him. Mr. A was caught by the police around 5 p.m., about 10 minutes later.
Mr. A reportedly told the police, "I tried to kill the woman."

A police official stated, "We are also reviewing additional charges for violation of the Stalking Punishment Act," and added, "We plan to apply for a warrant later."
