Tomorrow Brings This Winter's 'Strongest Cold Wave'... Morning Low of Minus 19 Degrees

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Yeju] On Sunday the 18th, a cold wave will continue nationwide, and heavy snowfall is expected.
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted on the 17th, "Tomorrow, the Chungnam region, Jeolla region, and Jeju Island will be mostly cloudy, while other areas will have occasional clouds," adding, "Heavy snowfall will occur mainly along the Chungnam west coast, Jeolla region, and Jeju Island, and the severe cold will persist for some time."
With cold wave warnings issued for the central region, Gyeongbuk area, and inland Jeonbuk, cold air will move southward from the northwest starting tonight. Temperatures tomorrow and the day after tomorrow morning will drop by about 3 to 6 degrees compared to today, with the central region around -15°C and the southern region around -10°C, continuing the severe cold.
The lowest temperature tomorrow morning will range from -19°C to -4°C, and the highest temperature during the day will be between -8°C and 2°C.
Morning low temperatures in major areas are Seoul -13°C, Incheon -12°C, Suwon -15°C, Chuncheon -16°C, Gangneung -8°C, Cheongju -12°C, Daejeon -13°C, Jeonju -10°C, Gwangju -7°C, Daegu -9°C, Busan -6°C, and Jeju 0°C.
Daytime high temperatures are Seoul -6°C, Incheon -6°C, Suwon -6°C, Chuncheon -5°C, Gangneung -1°C, Cheongju -5°C, Daejeon -4°C, Jeonju -3°C, Gwangju -1°C, Daegu -1°C, Busan 2°C, and Jeju 4°C.
Expected snowfall amounts until the morning of the 19th are 5 to 15 cm along the Chungnam west coast, Jeonbuk, western Jeonnam region, Jeju Island, and Ulleungdo·Dokdo; 3 to 10 cm in inland Jeonnam eastern region, inland Chungnam, and the five western islands of the Yellow Sea. Snowfall of 1 to 5 cm is also expected in Chungbuk, southern coast of eastern Jeonnam, and western Gyeongsang region.
