Kwon Geonbo, Dean of Ajou University Law School, Appointed President of the Korean Constitutional Law Association
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Kwon Geonbo, Dean of the Graduate School of Law at Ajou University, has been inaugurated as the 29th President of the Korean Constitutional Law Association. His term is one year, starting from January 2023.
President Kwon has been serving as the Dean of the Graduate School of Law at Ajou University since March and currently holds positions as a director of the Association of Graduate Schools of Law, a member of the Constitutional and Constitutional Adjudication System Research Committee at the Constitutional Court, and a member of the Policy Advisory Committee of the National Human Rights Commission.
Dean Kwon stated, "Through securing continuity of academic conferences and activating participation, we will discover various constitutional issues and foster emerging scholars through specialized research groups and regional research presentations."
The Korean Constitutional Law Association is a long-established society that has held academic conferences since 1994 and publishes the academic journal Constitutional Law Studies.

Kwon Geonbo, Dean of the Graduate School of Law at Ajou University, graduated from Seoul National University Law School and earned his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Constitutional Law from the same university’s graduate school. He has served as a Constitutional Research Committee member at the Constitutional Court, a member of the Personal Information Protection Commission, a specialist member of the National Human Rights Commission, a legal advisor to the Ministry of Justice, a member of the Human Rights Committee of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, vice president of the Korean Public Law Association, and vice president of the Korean Constitutional Law Association.
