Gibo Announces '2030 ESG Management Promotion Plan with SMEs'
Promoted with the Strategic Direction of 'Carbon Neutrality (E) · National Happiness (S) · Fair World (G)'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter Kibo) announced on the 13th that it has established the '2030 ESG Management Promotion Plan with Small and Medium Enterprises' to promote ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management activities across the entire organization.
Kibo set carbon neutrality (E), national happiness (S), and a fair society (G) as the three strategic directions and finalized a total of 30 detailed promotion tasks tailored to public expectations, including support projects for ESG activities of small and venture companies and Kibo's own ESG management innovation tasks.
This ESG management promotion plan passed verification by the 'Kibo-ESG Management Committee,' which included three external ESG experts such as Professor Moon Doo-cheol from Yonsei University.
According to the plan, Kibo aims to actively support ESG management of small and medium enterprises by 2030 with goals such as ▲supporting KRW 10 trillion in climate guarantees ▲discovering 5,000 social venture companies ▲supporting KRW 3 trillion in Clean Plus guarantees, and to promote ESG management together with SMEs by conducting institutional ESG innovation activities aiming for ▲50% reduction in greenhouse gases ▲top grade in win-win growth ▲first grade in comprehensive integrity.
Additionally, efforts to secure ESG capabilities of small and venture companies, such as supporting carbon value evaluation guarantees, developing ESG evaluation models, and introducing ESG specialized consulting, will be continuously pursued.
