Authorities believe this incident was a lone wolf attack carried out by someone in a mentally unstable state. However, since this incident occurred shortly after police conducted a large-scale anti-terror operation arresting 25 far-right anti-government members suspected of plotting a recent coup, concerns are being raised about growing public anxiety over security in German society.
