Mokpo City Explores Job Creation Strategies with Outstanding Companies Participating in Employment Projects
Communicating with Industrial Complex Company Representatives to Hear Difficulties and Suggestions
[Mokpo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Hyeong-seok] Mokpo City in Jeollanam-do held a meeting on the 7th with about 20 organizations including small and medium-sized enterprises in the industrial complex and employment support related organizations, together with the Jeonnam Employment and Labor Research Institute.
The meeting was organized to strengthen the employment network through cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises and related organizations, and to listen to difficulties in business operations for revitalizing job creation and seek solutions.
The meeting introduced employment placement projects, startup support projects, job education and training projects, and new middle-aged job projects carried out by major local employment-related organizations such as the Jeonnam Employment and Labor Research Institute, Fisheries Food Support Center, Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Youth Job Integration Center, and also had a communication session with excellent companies participating in the Daeyang, Sanjeong, Sapjin, and Ceramic Industrial Complexes and job projects.
Companies expressed that various city job projects are very helpful for hiring quality personnel and maintaining long-term employment of current employees, but also complained about labor shortages and suggested ▲strengthening support policies for youth hiring and retention ▲improving visa requirements for foreign workers related to the shipbuilding industry ▲changing and increasing the number of bus routes supporting commuting workers in the Daeyang Industrial Complex.
