Chairman Kang Tae-sun of BYN Black Yak Selected as 'Global Sustainability Leader' for 3 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] BYN Black Yak announced on the 8th that Chairman Kang Tae-seon has been selected for the ‘2022 Global Sustainable Leaders 100’ by the UN Economic and Social Council Special Consultative Status Organization (UN SDGs) for the third consecutive year.
The UN SDGs Association’s Global Sustainable Leaders 100 is an annual event that selects and announces 100 companies and individuals combining global sustainable companies, leaders, and brands. It started in 2019 and this year marks its fourth edition.
Chairman Kang has been named in the Global Sustainable Leaders 100 for three consecutive years. He was also selected for the Global Sustainable Social Environment Leaders 20 for two consecutive years. The Global Sustainable Leaders 100 includes global corporate executives such as Chairman Kang, Fr?d?ric Oud?a CEO of Soci?t? G?n?rale, Bernard Arnault Chairman of LVMH Group, Fran?ois-Henri Pinault Chairman of Kering Group, Steve Cahillane Chairman of Kellogg, Mark Clouse CEO of Campbell Soup, and Douglas Peterson CEO of S&P Global. BYN Black Yak’s outdoor brand Black Yak was also selected for the 2022 Global Sustainable Brands 40 for the second consecutive year.
Chairman Kang received high marks in various fields including the establishment and expansion of a domestic transparent PET bottle resource circulation system and the commercialization of clothing and goods based on recycled plastic materials as sustainable ESG management cases.
