Makoto Shinkai's New Work 'Suzume no Mondon-sok' to Premiere in March Next Year

"Suzume no Tojimari" is a massive adventure gate road movie set against the backdrop of ruins across Japan, where high school girl Suzume and a mysterious chair desperately try to close doors that cause disasters. It was released in Japan on the 11th of last month, attracting 5.6 million viewers and surpassing 7.5 billion yen (72.4 billion KRW) in box office revenue, gaining popularity.
Director Makoto Shinkai, who caused a sensation in Korea with "Your Name." (2017), is releasing this new work three years after "Weathering with You," and it will be screened simultaneously in CGV IMAX theaters.
