Ulsan Office of Education School Facility Support, 93.8% Satisfaction Among School Officials
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] According to a survey conducted by the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education targeting schools that received school facility support services over the past year, 93.8% of respondents expressed satisfaction, marking a 0.8% increase compared to last year.
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education operates a customized school facility call center where the responsible officer in charge visits the site upon urgent facility repair requests. This operation is analyzed to have contributed to both the reduction of school facility workload and the increase in satisfaction.
The survey covered nine items including promptness, cost-effectiveness, friendliness, and reduction of school workload, conducted via Google Forms from November 7 to 16.
Among the satisfaction items, the highest response rate of 95.6% was for the intention to actively use facility support through the call center in the future.
The satisfaction rate for facility support standard prices?over 3 million KRW for architecture and civil engineering, and over 1 million KRW for mechanical and electrical?was the lowest at 89.7%, but this represents a 1.7% improvement compared to 88% last year.
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education operates the call center for urgent facility repairs by dividing it into four categories: architecture, civil engineering, electrical, and mechanical, enabling prompt responses to school repair requests.
In 2021, a total of 147 school facilities were repaired, and as of December 2 this year, 96 school facilities have been repaired.

An official from the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education stated, “We prioritize support for requests related to students’ classes and safety, and will actively consider lowering the standard prices for facility support to further reduce the workload of frontline school facility tasks and increase satisfaction.”
