View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 4th that at the 61st Gyeongsangnam-do Culture Awards ceremony held at the new building auditorium of the Gyeongnam Provincial Government, the Daeya Cultural Festival Committee received the Excellence Award in the Cultural Arts Promotion category for organizations, and Lee Yong-hee, a member of the Hapcheon branch of the Korea Fine Arts Association, was honored with the Merit Award in the 32nd Gyeongnam Artists Awards.
This awards ceremony was hosted by Gyeongsangnam-do and selected through a judging process after receiving candidate recommendations from each city, county, and cultural arts organizations in November. Hapcheon-gun was honored to receive awards in two categories.
The Daeya Cultural Festival Committee was recommended by Hapcheon-gun for contributing to the improvement of residents' quality of life by successfully hosting the 38th Daeya Cultural Festival, held for the first time in three years due to COVID-19. Lee Yong-hee, a member of the Hapcheon branch of the Korea Fine Arts Association, was recognized for her efforts in advancing Hapcheon arts and received the award upon recommendation from the Hapcheon Federation of Artistic and Cultural Organizations.

The Gyeongsangnam-do Culture Awards is the most prestigious award in Gyeongnam Province, given annually to organizations that have made significant contributions to the development of local culture. Since its inception in 1962, it has produced hundreds of awardees up to this 61st ceremony.
