[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] A dedicated corporate big data portal that allows users to check various corporate information and statistics and receive AI-based management diagnosis has been launched.

On the 1st, the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund announced the official launch of the portal 'BASA.'

The corporate big data dedicated portal ‘BASA’ is a gateway that fully provides the largest domestic corporate data and corporate analysis capabilities owned by the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund as a service tailored to the needs of users such as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), financial institutions, public sector, and academia. It was established to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs and to resolve information asymmetry in the corporate data field.

Through this, users can utilize ▲ AI management diagnosis, ▲ corporate information inquiry, and ▲ corporate statistics services. The ‘Corporate Information Inquiry’ service provides the largest domestic corporate database and differentiated credit analysis results. Users can view over 1.3 million companies’ profiles, evaluation ratings, and corporate analysis details. By using high-quality corporate information that reflects dynamic corporate status and client risk through daily recalculation of corporate analysis results, efficient client management is possible.

The ‘Corporate Statistics’ service provides timely SME statistics using the latest credit provision information such as value-added tax information and borrowings, in addition to financial statements. Users can easily check customized data according to detailed conditions such as region, industry, and company size.

The ‘AI Management Diagnosis’ service, launched in March, allows users to receive a management diagnosis report of about 40 pages within 30 minutes with a simple online application free of charge. Already, more than 34,000 companies have used the service over 120,000 times within eight months of its launch.

Choi Wonmok, Chairman of the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, said, "The BASA portal will greatly improve data accessibility for SMEs lacking funds and manpower, and will significantly contribute to the fusion and utilization of public and private data for selecting innovative growth companies and supplying funds appropriately within the financial market." He added, "Going forward, in line with the government’s national agenda to implement a ‘digital platform,’ it will play a leading role in creating new value by leading the data market."
