Handmade Market Idus Surpasses 30,000 Registered Artists
8000 New Stores Added This Year Compared to Last Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Backpacker (CEO Kim Dong-hwan), which operates the handmade market platform 'Idius,' announced on the 24th that the number of handmade artists registered on the platform has surpassed 30,000.
Celebrating its 8th anniversary this year, Idius has seen a steady increase in artists joining from various fields every year, recently exceeding 34,000 artists, with the cumulative number of works surpassing 470,000. In particular, interest in handmade products has significantly increased since the outbreak of COVID-19, with more than 8,000 new artists joining this year alone, a 32% increase compared to last year.
Based on this, Idius currently achieves ▲5 million monthly active users (MAU) ▲an 80% repurchase rate within a month ▲16 million cumulative app downloads ▲and 4.1 million cumulative buyers.
Unlike existing open markets, artists who want to register on Idius must pass document and work reviews, and even after registration, strict quality control is maintained through continuous monitoring.
