Sunwoo Yekwon and Lang Lang Strengthen Korea-China Friendship with Piano Melodies
Classic Concert Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange will hold a classical music concert on the 23rd at the Concert Hall of the Seoul Arts Center to commemorate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and China. Through the collaboration of piano performers from both countries, they will reaffirm the friendship built over 30 years and share a time of heartfelt communication and empathy. Jeong Hyang-mi, Director of Cultural Policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated, "This event is especially meaningful as it follows the confirmation of the importance of expanding cultural exchanges by the leaders of both countries at the Korea-China summit held on the 15th."

On stage will be Korea's Sunwoo Yekwon and China's Lang Lang. For about 100 minutes, they will present a moving performance with beautiful piano melodies. Sunwoo Yekwon will perform Johannes Brahms' "Six Piano Pieces," Claude Debussy's "Estampes," Maurice Ravel's "La Valse," and "Arirang." Lang Lang will perform Fr?d?ric Chopin's "Nocturne in C-sharp minor" and "Waltz in A-flat major," Franz Liszt's "Liebestr?ume," Debussy's "Clair de Lune," Manuel de Falla's "Danza ritual del fuego (Ritual Fire Dance)," selected parts of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Goldberg Variations BWV 988," and the Chinese folk song "Moli Hua."
