‘412 km/h’ Croatian Electric Car Sets New Record
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Daeyeol] Croatia's high-performance electric vehicle manufacturer Rimac's 'Nevera' has become the fastest electric car in the world.
According to the company on the 22nd, the car recorded a top speed of 412 km/h (258 mph) on a track in Papenburg, Germany. With an aerodynamic setup balancing drag and downforce in top speed mode, it was able to drive safely even at high speeds. The tires used were Michelin products suitable for road use.
The car was driven by Miroslav Zrn?evi?, Rimac's chief test and development driver. A speed of 412 km/h is about one-third the speed of sound. The Nevera, which is available for sale to general customers, is limited to a top speed of 352 km/h, but under company support and control conditions, it was driven without a top speed limit this time.
