[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The non-profit organization Ajou Welfare Foundation of Ajou Group, together with the Love Briquette Sharing Movement Headquarters, visited underprivileged neighbors in Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 21st to carry out the briquette sharing volunteer activity called 'Love's Flint,' spreading warmth to the local community.
On this day, Chairman Moon Kyu-young and 52 Ajou Group executives and employees participated, delivering 3,750 briquettes to a total of 15 households in the Gwacheon Honeybee Village plastic greenhouse area. They plan to support approximately 56,000 briquettes to households in need nationwide by the end of the year. With this, Ajou Group will have donated about 1.17 million briquettes over the past 18 years.
Additionally, employees voluntarily participated in a 'very special donation event,' donating briquettes equivalent to their age. Through an internal donation campaign held for about two weeks from the 26th of last month, 156 employees contributed approximately 10,000 additional briquettes, adding more meaning to the sharing activities.
